Corporate Vice President, Global Marketing Communications Nissan Motor Co.,Ltd.
Simon Sproule is the Corporate Vice President of global marketing communications for Nissan Motor Co.,Ltd. where he is responsible for the design and implementation of corporate communications strategies, brand management and communications, marketing, motorsport, corporate social responsibility and internal communications for Nissan Motor Company and for Nissan and Infiniti brands worldwide. Simon is based at Nissan’s global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.
Simon took up his current position on October 1st, 2010. He was transferred from the Renault-Nissan Alliance office in Boulogne Billancourt, France where he held the position of Director, communications.
Simon first joined Nissan in North America in June 2003 from Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover where he served as chief communications officer in North America. Prior to that role, Simon held a number of communications positions with Ford Motor in the US and Europe between 1992 and 2000.
Simon joined Nissan North America as Vice President, communications and in 2004 was transferred to the corporate head office in Tokyo, Japan and appointed corporate officer with responsibility for global communications. In 2009, Simon moved to France to take up a new position as Director of communications for the Renault-Nissan Alliance where he served until taking up his current position back in Japan.
Born in Hampshire, United Kingdom, Simon earned a degree in Geography in 1990 from King’s College London, University of London.
